Random Scribbles: More on Deloitte’s tone-deafness to social media

[Random Scribbles are my occasional posts of half-formed thoughts, half-baked ideas, and off-the-cuff observations.]

On LinkedIn, Deloitte posts updates regarding the status of their research projects.  As you can see below, this one was disliked by a somewhat unstable LinkedIn user. The comments, laced with profanity, were visible for two days to everyone using the social media site.

I guess somebody finally caught on, because the comments have been removed. But who is minding the social media store over there?  Makes me wonder.

I’m not going out of my way to pick on Deloitte–this could happen to anybody.  I just couldn’t pass this up.  Whether you are an organization or an individual, actions speak loudly. And if you are professing excellence without providing excellence, I don’t mind pointing it out.

Let me know what you think.
